Volunteer Ministers’ Yellow Tent Offers Practical Help in Milan

MILAN — 22 January 2026 — Scientology’s Volunteer Ministers have brought their distinctive yellow tent in Milan, creating a visible meeting point for practical help and listening support, alongside simple “Tools for Life” techniques that can be applied to common challenges. Already seen in major cities such as New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Rome and Naples, the Yellow Tent is designed to let residents speak with trained volunteers and learn straightforward methods for communication breakdowns, workplace stress and conflict resolution, as well as support after personal emergencies.

Volunteer Ministers are community volunteers trained through 19 introductory “Tools for Life” courses covering communication, relationships, study skills, workplace challenges and conflict resolution. The approach is focused on the individual: understand what the person faces and provide an actionable technique.

In Italy, Volunteer Ministers have supported communities during the 2009 L’Aquila earthquake and the 2012 Emilia-Romagna earthquakes, and have also assisted during recent floods in Marche (2022) and Romagna (2023), working alongside local institutions and civil protection actors to help clear homes and public spaces.

In Milan, activity expanded during the pandemic period with sanitisation efforts and support for families in need. Organisers say volunteers then continued with neighbourhood support, including more than 160 consecutive Saturdays of clean-up and assistance, extending across all nine municipalities of the city, while also contributing to solidarity efforts such as supporting aid shipments to Ukraine.
